Have you ever wondered when your DC home was built? Who built it? Who the first owner was? The DC Government has developed HistoryQuest DC evolved out of the DC Historical Building Permits Database project and allows you to analyze the historic data within a specified geographic area or citywide. It’s still a work-in-progress and anyone with additional information or knowledge about specific buildings that will enhance, enrich, or correct the map, is encouraged to reach out.
